Staff Sgt. Kuehl of Wahpeton, North Dakota attended school in Great Bend, ND and completed his education in Wahpeton, ND, graduating from Wahpeton High School in 1999 where he was a good student, quiet and easy to be around, and a hard worker. He entered the Army immediately upon graduation and was serving his second tour in Iraq. His first tour was in 2004-05. He was also deployed in Germany for a year. David was just three weeks into his 15-month tour when he was killed in action at age 27. The joys of his life were his two daughters. Other highlights in his life included hunting, family barbeques, his truck, family pets, and his job with the Army Infantry. He leaves his wife, two children and his parents. He was preceded in death by: His paternal grandfather: Ed Kuehl; His maternal grandparents: Frances and Charles Heley. He was 27.
