Dorothy Vaughan, 56, of Columbia, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018, at Parkside Manor in Columbia.
Dorothy Vaughan was born November 10, 1961, in McBaine, MO. the daughter of William and Geneva Acton Vaughan.
Dorothy loved to go camping and enjoyed spending time in the great outdoors.
Dorothy would give her last dollar to help someone in need.
She grew up in the Huntsdale and McBaine area.
She loved her grandchildren and her great-grandchild, they were her heart.
She was a born-again Christian having accepted Jesus as her personal savior.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter Tammy (Emery) Crow, of Columbia, MO., four brothers Larry Vaughan (Anita) of Bunker Hill, IL., James Vaughan, Lloyd Vaughan, and Bobby Vaughan all of Columbia, Mo., and one sister Frances Edwards of Columbia, MO., two grandchildren Eric Crow and Paige Vaughan, and one great-grandchild Jhilan Auberlin.
She was preceded in death by four brothers George Vaughan, Charlie Vaughan, Donnie Vaughan and Billy Vaughan, and three sisters Patsy Sapp, Sharon Pauley and Bonnie Miller.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home at 7:30 PM. Visitation will be from 6-7:30 PM at the funeral home.
