Linda S. Chaney of Wichita KS was murdered on 9-16-18 at home. Linda attended South High and worked for more than two decades in Kansas area hospitals as a respiratory therapist and ten years as an OTR truck driver. She earned her bachelors degree in theology at Louisiana Baptist University. She is preceded in death by her father Charles Chaney, brother Mark Chaney, and grandson Jimmy Edward Barnes. She is survived by her mother Martha Chaney of Wichita, siblings Larry Chaney of TX and Cindy Gering of AR, her children Farrah Drake of Wichita and James and Alethea Drake of Oklahoma City. She also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 0ct 10 at 10am at Friendship Baptist Church in Wichita.The police refused to investigate her murder and it remains an unsolved cold case file. But we all know who took her life. May he find no mercy in all eternity.

She has no headstone yet. She willed her body to scientific research and when the study she participated in was complete they returned her cremated ashes and they were intered in her grandsons grave, Jimmy Edward Perry Barnes.
