Marjorie Sutton, 91, a resident of Legacy Place in Twinsburg, OH, died there on Thursday morning, November 15, 2018. She was the widow of John "Jack" Sutton who died July 15, 1981. She was a 1945 graduate of Stroudsburg High School. Marjorie and Jack were married in 1946 when he returned from WWII; he had left East Stroudsburg High School early to serve the nation as a Merchant Marine.
Born on September 27, 1927 at home in Delaware Water Gap, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Christeane (Jennings) Shellenberger.
Surviving are two married sons, Christy and Linda Sutton of Palm Beach Gardens, FL and Ricky and Linda Sutton of Hudson, OH; and sister Rosalyn Minihan of Largo, FL. She was the proud matriarch to five grandsons, one great-grandson and six great-granddaughters.
The funeral service will begin at 10:00AM on Friday, November 30, from the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg with Rev. Eric Moser officiating. Burial will follow at Prospect Cemetery in East Stroudsburg.
