Doris Davis DeForest, 90, Oswego, N.Y., and formerly of Venice, died Dec. 29, 2002, at Oswego Hospital. She was born May 16, 1912, in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada, and graduated from Oswego Normal School. She taught for many years at Mexico Elementary School and Pulaski Elementary School, and was a member of the New York State and Oswego County Retired Teachers Association. She was a member of Epiphany Cathedral and St. John the Evangelist Church, Pulaski. Survivors include stepdaughters, Sally N. Maitland of Pulaski and Dorothy Strader of Georgia; a stepson, Charles Davis of Oswego; a brother, Henry Davis of Oswego; and a sister, Bernice Prendergast of Tennessee. A memorial service will be later. Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, is in charge.
