Christine (Crissy) Manfredo Kelly, 94 passed away on November 23, 2018 at her home with her daughter by her side. She was born September 11, 1924 in her parent’s home to Giacomo (Jack) Manfredo and Giovanni (Jenny) Palombo Manfredo, Italian Immigrants. She attended Bonneville Elementary, Franklin Jr. High and graduated from Pocatello High School in 1942.
In her years at Poky High she was a Senior cheerleader and received the honor of being on the cover of the Idaho Men’s Basketball Tournament official program held at Pocatello High gymnasium March 1942.
In 1943 she became the manager of the Sears Catalog office until 1946 when she married her High School boyfriend and great athlete Wally N. Kelly. They were blessed with 4 children, Diane Steinmetz, Jennifer Ingram, Michael Kelly and Wally C. Kelly.
After her children were all in school she went to work as a receptionist for Dr. Richard Crandall and later for Dr. Robert Rush, ending her career in 1988 as a secretary for School District 25 Head Start.
Golfing was her all time favorite thing to do, she served as the President of the Women’s Riverside Golf Assoc, Charter member of Highland Women’s Assoc. and Idaho golf Association. She was a member of St. Anthony Council of Catholic Women and loved playing bridge and supporting the Bengals, and her 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren’s many school and sporting events.
Preceding her in death were her husband Wally N. Kelly, son Michael C. Kelly, sister Florence Feurstein, brother in law Charles Feurstein, nephew John Feurstein, brothers Ralph and Dominic Manfredo, sister in law Mary Lou Manfredo, and Phyllis Manfredo, son in law Thomas Bowman, her parents Jack and Jenny Manfredo, In laws Elvin and Emma Kelly.
She is survived by a very close dear friend of 28 years Leo Knudson, daughters Diane Steinmetz, Jennifer (Bill) Ingram, son Wally C. (Amy) Kelly. Grandchildren Kristin Ingram Funk, Kelly Ingram, Aneka Kelly Wagner, Cherice Kelly Olsen, Jeremy Steinmetz, Jessica Steinmetz Hilton, Beau Kelly, Hannah, Ashley, and Parker Walton. Nephew’s Gary Feurstein, Robert Feurstein, Jack Manfredo, Nieces Niki Bauer, and Mary Jo McCann. 13 Great Grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
A Rosary Service in repose of Wally, Crissy and Michael Kelly led by Deacon Scott Pearhill will be held at 9:00 AM on Friday November 30, 2018 at Holy Spirit Catholic Community, St. Anthony's Chapel with the Funeral Mass to begin at 10:00 AM at the Church with Father Henry Carmona, celebrant.
