Lillian Bernice (Kelch) Schuckenbrock, age 87, of Bowling Green, Mo, passed away on Nov. 24, 2018 at DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton Mo.
Visitation will be held Monday evening from 3-7 pm, and the Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green. Funeral services will be held at 10am on Tuesday at the funeral home with. Rev.Don Amelung officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetary, Vandalia, MO
Lillian was born to Barney Samuel Kelch Sr. and Nancy Cassandrew Cox Kelch in Louisville, Mo on April 21, 1931. Her family moved to a rural farm in Bowling Green when she was a teenager. She attended and graduated Bowling Green High School. She met and then married Melvin Schuckenbrock on August 4 , 1951. He preceded her in death May 22, 1998. They raised 6 children on the family farm south of Curryville. She left the family farm of over 50 years and moved to Bowling Green in 2013. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, having coffee at MeMe's Cafe, working in her flower bed and watching the many hummingbirds that visited her feeder.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Barney Samuel Kelch Jr., George Kelch, sisters: Catherine Pallardy, Mildred Brewer Moran, Margaret Beurskens, her husband Melvin, son John, 1 grandson, and 2 great grandchildren.
She is survived by son: Merald (Cindy) Schuckenbrock of Tacoma, Wa, daughters: Bernice Smith of Odessa, Mo., Teresa (Monte) Moss of Curryville, Mo., Nancy (Bob) Fountain of Washougal, Wa, and Janice Kay Baker of West Brooklyn, Ill., 12 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandaughters.
Pallbearers include: Ryan Moss, James Lee Smith, Daniel Smith, John Haley, Patricia Schaefer and Shonda Wahlert. Honorary pallbearers Stephen Schuckenbrock and Clifford Miller.
