Rebecca was born in Columbus, GA on July 9, 1949 to the late Jimmie Tobie and Mary Lee Bowens. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Edward Watson, Sr.; sister Lillian Larraine Davis; brothers Rufus White, Lamar Bowens, and Jimmie Bowens. Rebecca was a loving mother and grandmother and deeply loved by her family. She was a homemaker and she deeply loved the people of Yahoola Baptist Church. The church’s ministry to Rebecca during her illness brought great comfort to her family.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, November 24, 2018 at Park Hill Cemetery in Columbus, GA. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
