Jon was born May 31, 1942 in Beech Grove, Indiana, the son of Herman and Gladys (Glosser) Buell. He married Sandra C. Winkler on September 8, 1963.
He retired after 30 years of service at A.E. Staley Manufacturing Company. Jon was a member of GT Church. He was a former member of the Mt. Zion Lions Club, had coached little league baseball in Mt. Zion and was a former 4-H leader of the Salem Eagles in Long Creek.
Surviving are his wife; sons, Todd Buell of Gainesville, Florida and Blake Buell of Mt. Zion; granddaughter, Chelsea Buell of Williston, Florida; great-granddaughter, Remi Buell of Williston, Florida and brothers, Ron Buell of Charleston, Illinois and Tom Buell (Beverly) of Charleston, Illinois.
Jon was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Rick.
