Hazel B. Morgan of WaKeeney, Kansas was born February 16, 1920 to Albert Charles Jordon and Carrie Bernice Kernen. She was raised by her Aunt and Uncle Myrtle and Julius Hillman. She entered Heaven's gates on June 26, 2018.

A teacher, cook, care giver, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend she enjoyed life in WaKeeney. She retired from Trego Lemke Memorial Hospital after working there for 20 years. She was one of the founding members of the Ogallah Christian church and active as a member of Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron.

Hazel was predeceased by her husbands, Earl Merlin Murphy and Ervin Albert Morgan. She was also predeceased by her sons Michael Murphy, Edward Morgan, Max Morgan, and Frank Morgan. Hazel is survived by her daughters Kay Kienast, Lynn Wise and Alta Ann West. She is also survived by her son Max Murphy and her many grandsons including Eric Jurgens, Zachary Murphy, Dylan Murphy, Kaleb Murphy and Tyrel Murphy. Her great grandchildren are numerous including Michael Murphy and Brian Murphy.

Hazel's celebration of life was held Saturday, June 30, 2018 and she was laid to rest in the Ogallah Cemetery.
