MRS. MINNIE LOUISE MACON RHODES – Age 81, of Dalton, Georgia passed away on Thursday, November 22, 2018 at Gordon Hospital. She was the daughter of the late LeRoy Daniel Williams and Thelma Macon. She was preceded in death by her four brothers, Lee Ernest Macon, Bennie Macon, LeRoy Daniel Love, and Alfred Allen, ex-husband, Elbert Rhodes, her companion, John Beasley, and three stepsons, Elbert Rhodes, Jr., Larry Rhodes, and Michael Rhodes.
Survivors are her stepchildren, Patricia Washington, Grace Carson, and Brenda Dwight; special cousins, Annette Rhodes, Claudia Rhodes, Juanita Johnson, Sandra Johnson, Randall (Angela) Johnson, Minister Keith (Kalitha) Johnson, Evang. Marilyn (Willie) Dawson, Celethia (Nathaniel) Morris, Homer Taylor, Jr., Kenneth Taylor, Kelvis Rhodes, Maria (Herman) O’Neal, and Carlos Rhodes; nieces and nephews, Alfred Allen, Jr., Kimberly Love, Gary Love, and Benny Macon, Jr.; two special friends, Janie Bowie and Ida Wilburn Little; a host of other relatives, and friends.
Homegoing Celebration will be held Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the Chapel with Pastor Charles D. Catchings as Eulogist and Bishop Claud Jones as Presider. Her remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Wednesday after 11:00 A.M. and the family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Interment, West Hill Cemetery.
