WINSTON-SALEM November 13, 1950 - November 4, 2018 Reverend Gary Harding Hutchins, 67, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Kate B. Reynolds (Trellis) Hospice Care. He was born in Winston-Salem NC to the late Albert Hutchins and Florence Brayfield. He was the Assistant Pastor of St. Jude Community Church, where he loved to sing and worship the Lord and minister to his church family. He is survived by his mother, Florence Brayfield of Dinuba, CA; his daughter, Lisa Dawn Garber and husband, David, of Midway, NC; his life partner, Gary Miller, of Winston-Salem, NC; his stepdaughter, Jamie Eskridge and husband, Josh, of Winston-Salem, NC; his two granddaughters, Karlissa Faith Carter and Ramsey Eskridge and his grandson, Walker Eskridge. He is also survived by his brother, Tony Hutchins and wife, Mary, of Ararat, NC; Phillip L Hutchins of East Bend, NC; his sister, Carla Manyok of Winston-Salem, NC; and multiple beloved nieces and nephews. Gary wanted to recognize several special people in his life, notably: Dorothy Vernon, Debbie Morton, JoAnn B. Miller, Betty Smith, Kay, Terry Melton, Charles Barton, George Wakefield, and Gilbert Bass. Pastor G greatly loved (and was equally loved and respected by) his friends and family at St. Jude Community Church of Winston-Salem, NC, Abundant Grace Church of Granite Falls, NC and ReNewal Fellowship United Church of Christ of Winston-Salem, NC. Friends and family are welcome to attend Gary's memorial service on November 24 at St. Jude Community Church at 2873 Robinhood Rd. in Winston-Salem. Service begins at 2:00pm with the Rev Jack L. McConnell officiating. Donations may be made in Gary's honor to St. Jude Community Church at the address listed above
