Sharon was born on May 29, 1948, in Portsmouth, to John Riley and Violet L. (Rice) Riley Fetty. She retired from American Standard after 30 years of employment. She married Earl “Dean” Pace on October 27, 1978, and he survives. Sharon loved her family very much. She was a member of Abundant Life Tabernacle, and because of her deep love for children, she volunteered with the CASA program. She also enjoyed her flower garden, sewing, and other crafts.
Along with her husband Dean, she is survived by son, Timothy Lee Nelson of Reynoldsburg , niece, Joyell Riley of Mansfield; grandchildren, Jessica, Adam, Alisha, Caleb, and Megan; step-children, Cheryl (Dean) Wills of Mansfield and James (Heather) Pace of Lucas; her step-mother, Betty Riley of Franklin Furnace; siblings, Barbara Pettry, Rodney (Carmen) Holsinger, Joe (Kelly) Riley, and Clifford (Janie) Riley all of Mansfield, Linda Montgomery of FL, Johnna (Butch) Stapleton of Portsmouth, Rick “Buck” (Kris) Riley and John David (Judy) Riley both of Franklin Furnace; Ora Fetty, Gloria Fetty, Sandy Crawford, and Theresa Fetty, all of Portsmouth; and Charles Fetty Jr of Mansfield.
Sharon was preceded in death by her parents; son Ronald Wayne Nelson; and brothers, Bruce Riley, Richard Riley, Jerry Riley and Paul Fetty.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. to 1p.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at Werner Gompf Funeral Services, ltd, 1106 Park Ave. East, Mansfield. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Jerry Loudermilk officiating. Burial will take place at Mansfield Cemetery.
