Wathena Finley, age 73, of Poyen, passed away Tuesday, May 15, 2018 in Malvern, Arkansas. She was born May 1, 1945 in Malvern, Arkansas, to the late Ervin L. and Gladys (Ewing) Rood. She was a 1963 graduate of Malvern High School, and had retired from Pactiv. She was a member of the Poyen Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting and traveling. Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Dean Finley.

Survivors are her daughters Debbie Montgomery of Poyen, and Sharon Roach (Tracy) of Poyen, brothers Terry Rood (Debbie) of Malvern, grandchildren Nikki Roach, Nieces and nephews, Dennis Finley (Shannon) of Poyen, Railey Nolan of Arkadelphia and Seth Wright (Tabitha) of Hot Springs.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 17, 2018, 6:00-8:00 pm at Regency Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be Friday, May 18, 2018 at 10:00 am at Regency Funeral Home with Brother Kevin Spurlin officiating. Burial at Lindsey-Poyen Cemetery.

In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Poyen Missionary Baptist Church Building Fund.
Pallbearers will be Allen Murray, Tommy Ray Moore, Hollis Hardin, Woody Mims, Eddie Watson and Bobby Speer.
