Mary Margaret Davison, 76, of Decatur, IL passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018 in her residence.
A funeral service to honor and celebrate Mary Margaret’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Dawson & Wikoff West Wood Street Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. Private family burial will be in Mt. Zion Township Cemetery. Mary Margaret was born on June 3, 1942 in Champaign, IL, the daughter of Kenneth and Elone (Grant) Mort. She married Jeffrey K. Davison on December 22, 1966.
Mary Margaret was a first grade school teacher at Niantic-Harristown Elementary School for 29 years. She was a member of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church and a member and former president of Prairieland Kiwanis and Beta Pi Society.
Mary Margaret is survived by her husband: Jeffrey K. Davison of Decatur, IL, two sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, one aunt and numerous cousins. She is also survived by her beloved feline companion Brando.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
