Service for Margie L. King will be 10:00 a.m., Friday June 22, 2018 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints; burial will follow at Sageeyah Cemetery. The family will have a viewing for the public on June 21, 2018 from 1-5pm at the funeral home followed by a family tribute night at 5pm. Born February 16, 1950 in Apia, Western Samoa to Ernest Jay and Selina (Kelsall) Mann, Margie lived in Western Samoa until 1966 when her family moved to the United States, settling in La Mirada, California. Margie attended John Glenn High School in Norwalk, California, graduating with the class of 1968. Following her graduation she began working to help support her family. This is when she met Robert Elwood Goetz they later married on January 15, 1972 and this union was blessed with 3 children. In July of 1982 she met Clyde Richardson King Jr., "Butch" while she was a professional Polynesian dancer. They had their first date in September of 1982 and later married on May 7, 1983 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Margie began working for Orchids Paper Products in 1991 in Santa Fe Springs, California as Accounting/Credit Manager. In 1995, Orchids Paper Products relocated Margie and Butch to Pryor, Oklahoma. They quickly built a home in Claremore, Oklahoma. She worked for Orchids faithfully for nearly 24 years, retiring in 2015. An active and faithful member of her church, she was past Relief Society President, Primary President and also music director for 20 years at the Claremore Ward. Her hobbies included traveling, sewing, and crocheting. Margie was also active in her community and volunteered at many local events, including the annual Chili Festival. Her family was most important and she made sure they were well taken care of. Margie passed away at home surrounded by her family and dear friends on June 6, 2018. She was 68. Margie is survived her children Eugene Bryce "Geno" Goetz and fiancée Shannon Freeman and Dawn Marie Goetz all of Claremore; her grandchildren Bryce Alan Goetz, Dylan Richardson Goetz, Parker Marie Goetz, Tyler David Freeman and Alexis Nicole Freeman; her siblings Fae Lea Roberts and husband John of America Samoa, Wilford Mann and wife Joyce of Long Beach, California, LaRee Mann of Auckland, New Zealand, Felicia Mann of Independence, Missouri, Eric Mann and wife Ruta of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Robert Mann and wife Ana of Henderson, Nevada, Jacqueline Sandell and husband Lowell of Salina, Kansas, Brent Mann and wife Cristan of Riverside, California, Bessie Mann of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Olsen Mann of Mesa, Arizona, Eugene Mann also of Mesa, Arizona, Jay Mann and wife Andrea of Anthem, Arizona, Renee Knaus and husband Steve of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, Erin Lowe and husband Monty of Claremore, Oklahoma, and Thomas Mann of Honolulu, Hawaii; over 120 nieces and nephews and many other extended family members. Margie was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Selina Mann, husband Butch, Daughter baby Margie, and a nephew Curtis Mann.
