William P. "Bill" Adams, 76, Herndon, died at 7:20 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2018, at his home.


Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Hussung officiating.


Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West.



A native of Herndon, he was born Oct. 2, 1942, the son of the late William Percy Adams, Sr. and Edna Inez Skelton Adams. He was a press operator for the Trane Company in Clarksville. He was also a horse trainer and tobacco farmer. He was a member of Olivet Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran.


In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Nikki Stokes.


Survivors include his daughter, Brianna (Ryan) Schneider, Herndon; his son, William C. (Andry) Adams, Montgomery, Ala.; his sisters, Jane Vier, Herndon and Margaret (Mickey) Toms, Hopkinsville; and five grandchildren.
