Jason Bruce Riley, 27, of 319 Myatt Rd., Mt. Herman, died July 23, 2003 as a result of an auto accident in Barren County.

An employee of Amak Brake, he was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had served a two-year mission for the church in the Utah area.

Born in Barren County on Feb. 27, 1976, he was a son of Orville and Dorothy (Myatt) Riley, Mt. Herman, and the husband of Brandi (Thompson) Riley, who also survives. They were married April 16, 1999 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Other than his wife and parents, survivors include a son, Aaron Joseph Riley, at home; a sister, Nicole Capps, Tompkinsville; two half-brothers, Bobby Robert Riley of Mexico, and Jackie Riley, Oak Grove; a half-sister, Teresa Botts, Tompkinsville; a step-brother, Loyce Earl Welch, and a step-sister, Sue Carter, both of Tompkinsville; and his father and mother-in-law, Danny and Betty Thompson, also of Tompkinsville.

A half-brother, Danny Joe Riley, preceded him in death.

Burial was at the Old Mt. Herman Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers were Rodney Bryant, Jerod and Josh Hopkins, Fontice Pipkin, David Smith, Terry Strode, and Jason and Jeremy Thompson. Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Moore, Roy Myatt, Larry Reece, Jerry and James Thompson, Jerry Monday, Steven Carter, Royce Bartley, Ervin Vibbert, Randy Wheat, Jamie Veach, David Lynn, Bradley Reece, Jerry Staley, David Compton, and Eddie and Wayne Hopkins.
