JUNE 3, 1952 – JULY 9, 2017

Timothy James Barber "The Iceman" passed away peacefully on July 9, 2017 in Madison Heights, MI. at the age of 65. Tim is survived by his wife Barbara, daughter Rene', son Ian, father Douglas, sister Kathy Kurz-Crowe (Jim Crowe), niece Katie Kurz and his faithful companion Mia. He is preceded in death by his mother Lois. Tim was born on June 3, 1952 in Detroit, MI. He graduated from Lamphere High School in 1970. He married Barbara in 1988. Tim delivered ice for around 45 years in the Metro-Detroit area. Besides delivering ice, Tim loved music and was a drummer for several years in a band that played in Hamtramck, MI. Tim has often been seen in the last few years walking Mia around the neighborhood. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday July 29, 2017 at St. Patrick's Episcopal Church 1434 13 Mile Rd. Madison Heights, MI. at 12:00 p.m. with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Tim's life. A private burial will be held on a later date at Acacia Park Cemetery in Southfield, MI.
