Timothy D. Mullins, 55 of Beckley, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at the Bowers Hospice House in Beckley following an extended illness. Born on the 16th day of June in 1958 in Beckley—he is the son of Elmer David Mullins and Gladie Alene McKinney Mullins of Beckley. Timothy was a graduate of Stoco High School Class of 1976. He also graduated with honors at Bluefield State College earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and began his career as a Registered Nurse. He has worked in the Beckley area as a RN for many years. Timothy also enjoyed riding off road motorcycles, playing golf, spending time with his family, and reading his Bible. He attended Sprague Freewill Baptist Church. “Every man leaves a legacy of some kind. Some, like Robert C. Byrd, leave their names on buildings and streets. My father’s legacy is different. His legacy is in his family as well as in the many people who are still alive today thanks to the medical care that he helped provide them” –Christopher Mullins, son. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Fred McKinney; paternal grandmother, Dora Collins; and paternal grandfather, Robert Lee Mullins. In addition to his loving parents, those left to carry on his legacy include his son, Christopher David Mullins and his wife Lea Ann of Beckley; daughter, Kimberly West and her husband Vaughn of Canton, Ohio; grandchildren Alexander David and Lyla Elizabeth Mullins of Beckley, also Savannah Storm and Hayden Victoria West of Canton, Ohio; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Interment at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens also in Prosperity.
