A farmer who had lived in Clark County since 1946, Elmer G. Bertrand, died in a Vancouver care center Monday, Oct. 7, 1996. He was 93.

Mr. Bertrand was born March 14, 1903, in Hill City, Kan. He enjoyed eating ice cream and popcorn and watching television. He also liked to play dominoes.

Survivors include one brother, Clarence R. Bertrand of Klamath Falls, Ore.; two stepbrothers, Jacob J. Walker of Battle Creek, Mich., and Millard L. Walker of Vancouver; and one sister, Della Ulrich of Vancouver.

A graveside service will begin at 10 a.m. Monday at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
