Charles W. "Charley" Dooley 94, of Naples, FL died peacefully on Monday, November 19, 2018 at his residence surrounded by his loving wife and family. He was born July 16, 1924 in Middlesboro, KY a son of the late Francis J. and Hazel M. (neé Frye) Dooley. A former lifelong resident of Middlesboro, KY he moved to Bonita Springs in 1986.

He was a graduate of Bowling Green College (now known as Western Kentucky University) in Bowling Green, KY where he earned his degree in accounting. He was a CPA, first with his brother in Middlesboro where they operated Dooley and Dooley Accountants and after moving to Florida opened the Charles W. Dooley, CPA firm.

Charley was a veteran of WWII having proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He served on the City Council in Middleboro for 4 years and was also a member of the Elks Lodge.

He was a parishioner at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church in Bonita Springs and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 8877. He also was a member of the Bonita Springs Rotary Club.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia A. Dooley of Naples, FL; 5 children, Moira R. Kennedy and her husband, James of Lake City, FL, Larry M. Dooley and his wife Cheryl of Bonita Springs, FL, Carol A. Dooley of Ft. Myers, FL, Linda M. Manis of Naples, FL and Bridget J. Partin and her husband, Randy of Georgetown, KY; 9 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 5 brothers and 1 sister.

A memorial Mass to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 11:30 AM at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church 28300 Beaumont Rd., Bonita Springs, FL 34134. Additional services and burial will be at the Middlesboro Cemetery, Middlesboro, KY at a later date.
