Harry "Sonny" Benson, 76, of Williford died Friday, May 18 at his residence. Born in Madison, AR he was a retired farm manager and also owned and operated a grocery store in Hernando, MS. He was a member of Nesbit Baptist church and enjoyed camping and boating.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Benson of the home; a son, Jerry Benson of Williford; a daughter, Debby Jones of Williford; four grandchildren, Marshall Jones, Briana Correro, Jessica Brooks, and Jennifer Benson; two great-grandchildren, Austin Correro and Jadison Brooks.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Monday at Roller-Farmers Union Chapel with Chuck Bursi officiating. Burial will follow in Baker's Cemetery near Hardy.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Baker's Cemetery Fund.
