She was born on November 28th, 1933 in Gillespie County, Texas, the daughter of Elmon G. Grona and Olivia Klein Grona, married Kermit Lawrence Scott, on December 1st, 1951 in Fredericksburg, Texas, member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, worked in the nursing field for many years at the Hill Country Memorial Hospital.
Vernell is survived, Son in law & spouse, Barry & Maile Jacobson of San Antonio, Brother & spouse, Kermit & Audry Grona of Fredericksburg, Sister & spouse, Joyce & Ned Moritz of Fredericksburg, Sister in law, Virginia “Tottie” Grindle of Fredericksburg, Sister in law & spouse, Annabel & Ed Stein of Fredericksburg, Brother in law, spouse, Melvin & Linda Scott of Doss, Best Friend & Caregiver, Peggy Jander of Fredericksburg, numerous nieces & nephews.
Funeral services for Vernell Scott will be held on Tuesday, November 27th, 2018 at 10:00 A.M. in the Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg, with Pastor Bobby Vitek officiating.
Graveside services and interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Fredericksburg.
Those who so desire may make memorial contributions in her memory to the Hill Country Memorial Hospital, Holy Ghost Church, or the S.P.C.A.
The family will greet friends on Monday afternoon from 5 to 7:00 P.M. and on Tuesday morning from 7:00 A.M. to 8:30 A.M. in the Schaetter Funeral Home, and from 9 to 10:00 A.M. in the Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Fredericksburg.
