Dr. Herbert Martin
Death Date: November 21, 2018

Dr. Herbert Martin, 91 years young, from Wellington, FL passed peacefully on November 21, at 6:40 AM.

Herb was very proud of his veteran service to the United States and was in the Coast Guard, Navy and Air Force, where he started his dental practice.

He spent his family years with his wife, Myra Karr Martin, and three daughters in Oakdale, NY where he managed a thriving successful private practice. Herb loved being active, all his life he worked out, played golf, enjoyed bridge and loved to laugh.

Herb & Micki have lived and took pleasure in the Wycliffe Golf & Country Club community since the mid-90s. Micki and Herb would have celebrated 71 years together in December.

Herb was a great man: honest, kind and caring. He was deeply loved by his family and extensive group of friends.

Herb is survived by his wife, daughter Beth & Michael Birns from New York City, daughter Heidi Janssen and partner Ron Schone from New Jersey and daughter Cynthia and spouse Ann Kilcommons from Connecticut. His heart always soared with his love of his grandchildren: Charlie Birns, Anneliese and Joe Rosenstein, and Garrett Janssen.

Funeral services will be held on Friday November 23, 2018 beginning at 9:00 AM at Beth Israel Memorial Chapel, 11115 Jog Road, Boynton Beach, FL 33437. Burial will follow at South Florida National Cemetery, Lake Worth, FL.

The family suggests donations in Herb's memory be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 75817, Topeka, KS 66675-8517.
