Ronald Lester George, 67, of Sapulpa departed from this life on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Maplewood Care Center, Tulsa, OK.

Ronald Lester George was born on August 20, 1951 in the Claremore Indian Hospital to Rufus and Addie (Rolland) George.

Ronald George was raised and lived most of his life in Sapulpa, OK. He attended Garfield Elementary, Washington Elementary, Sapulpa Jr High and Sequoyah High School in Tahlequah, OK. He graduated from Sequoyah High School in May 1971.

He was a member of the Yuchi Chapter Native American Church Polecat Ceremonial Ground and Pickett Chapel Indian Methodist Church.

Ronald is preceded in death by his late father, Rufus George; mother, Addie George; sisters, Alma Gibson, Ramona Sweeney, Christina Wright and Delores Marshall; brothers, Ruben George, Donald George (Twin Brother) and Gary George.

Ronald is survived by one son, Joseph Wayne George; one grandson, Keegan Wayne George of Sapulpa; brothers, Willie George of Sapulpa, Melvin George of Muskogee, John George of Mannford; and sister, Valerie George-Harjo of Tahlequah; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 10:30 am on Monday, November 26, 2018 at South Heights Cemetery, Sapulpa, OK with Melvin George officiating. Pallbearers will be Harley Revis, Richard Whitman, James Pickering, Robert Trickey, Ben Gibson and Robert Jones.

Following Interment, family will be providing food at Covenant Harvest Church, 722 N Hodge St, Sapulpa, OK.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith Funeral Home, 1208 S Main St., Sapulpa, OK.
