She was welcomed into the arms of her parents, James Riley Mays and Elizabeth K. Mays in Hondo Texas on November 1, 1927. She graduated from Ft. Stockton High School and followed her dreams by attending Business College.
While in Ft. Worth she met and married the love of her life, George T. Huff. They raised their family with pride and love. Lucy will be remembered for the love she had for her grand and great grandchildren, dancing her little heart away to country music and her fondness of fishing.
Our beloved Lucy is preceded in death by her parents and son, George T. Huff, sisters, Helen Mannin and Virgia Lambert, brother Bob Mays of North Platte, Nebraska and JR Mays predecease her as well.
She is survived by daughters; Kathy smith and husband Joe Smith of Kiowa Oklahoma, Beverly Prescott of Albuquerque, NM and Sherry Huff- Battin, also of Albuquerque, NM. Lucy was blessed with 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
She will be missed immensely.
