Wayne Powell, age 74 of Russellville, MO passed away Saturday November 17, 2018 surrounded by family in Quincy IL. He was born July 4, 1944 in Jefferson City, MO, the son of Clarence and Vivian Marie (Rice) Powell, both of whom preceded him in death. He graduated from University of Missouri with a degree in English Literature. He was employed as a painter and construction laborer. Wayne was united in marriage June 22, 1968 in New Bloomfield MO, to Elizabeth Ann Powell, who has preceded him in death. Wayne was a member of Son Life Ministry. He enjoyed painting, playing music, camping and fishing. He will be sadly missed. Survivors include: three daughters, Beth Ann Welch (Lyle) of Quincy, IL, Teressa Newton (Jerry) of Independence, MO. and Patty Powell, Jefferson City, MO. seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents and wife, Wayne was preceded in death by three great great-grandchildren. One sister; Mary Love. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Sunday November 25, 2018 with funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm at Weber Funeral Home, Russellville, MO. Burial will be in the Enloe Cemetery with full military honors. Memorials are suggested to SonLife Broadcasting, 8919 World Ministry Ave, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 70810.
