Calvin C. Robinson, 82, of De Soto, KS passed away on November 18, 2018. Funeral services will be held on November 21, 2018 at 11:00AM with visitation at 10:00 AM at Cedar Crest Memorial Chapel, 32665 Lexington Ave., De Soto, KS. Interment De Soto Cemetery, De Soto, KS. Calvin was born December 30, 1935 in Galena, KS to Charles and Rita Robinson. Calvin graduated from Galena High School. He married Leona F. Ball on November 19, 1959 in Galena, KS. Calvin and Leona moved to the De Soto area in 1960.
Calvin worked as a carpenter with Local 714 doing construction until he retired. He was a charter member of The Kaw Valley Sportsmen Club, working with kids of all ages. He was involved with The Boy Scouts, he started the peewee football and was recognized for his involvement with the De Soto Youth. If you needed a hand, he was the man to call on. He will be greatly missed.
Preceded in death by: his parents; brothers Herman, Charles, Jack, Richard (Dick) and John; sister Helen Collins.
Survivors include: wife Leona of the home; daughter Carla (Donnie) Moore of Mountain Grove, MO; son Doug (Dawn) Robinson of Waddell, AZ; sister Phyllis Hansen of Galena, KS; brother Philip (Dixie) Robinson of Olathe, KS; grandchildren Krystal and Dustyn Moore of Mountain Grove, KS, Mackinzie, Austin and Alivia Robinson; 6 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
