Margaret Waga was raised in West Allis and graduated from the old West Allis Central high school on National Avenue in 1939.

After high school she worked at the H C Miller company in the bindery department assembling ledgers and books used by municipalities for accounting, property and tax records. She continued to work at Miller’s to the mid 1950’s.

From the 1940’s through the mid 1950’s she also worked in show business part time as a roller-skater. She and her partner in the act Norman Folker were even reviewed in Variety, the show business newspaper.

On Thanksgiving Day in 1950 Margaret married Allen Schulz, son of Agnes and John Schulz charter members of the Luther Memorial congregation.

She joined the congregation in 1951 and was an active participant in church activities including the Mission Society, and the choir. She also worked at the steam table for the church sponsored State Fair dining hall for many years.

Margaret and her husband were custodians of the church facility for many years through the late 1960’s, working to clean and maintain the building.

In the early 1970’s she began work as a member of the West Allis Memorial Hospital housekeeping staff, a job she held until her retirement in 1987.

After her retirement she continued her involvement in the church and with her husband was actively involved in boating safety as members of the Milwaukee Power Squadron.

She is preceded in death by her son Mark in 1984 and her husband Allen in 2000.
