She worked for the Department of Employment Security for the State of WV, had previously worked at Elk Refinery, Clendenin and sold Avon for 31 years. Carol Ann was a member of Blue Creek Advent Christian Church, played the piano for and traveled with the church choir. She also attended Antioch Advent Christian Church, Aaron's Fork. Carol enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters, who called her "GiGi". She also liked to feed humming birds, work in her flower garden and enjoyed the company of her Boston Terrier dogs.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis "Louie" G. Harper, Jr. parents, Ira B. Meadows and Dorothy E. Carte Meadows; half-brother, Bill Carte.
Carol Ann is survived by her sons, Mark Harper and wife, Krislyn of Elkview, and Dale Harper of Pinch; half-sister, Georgialeah Buzzard of Florida; grandchildren, Kaylyn and Alayna Harper.
Burial at Elk Hills Memorial Park, Big Chimney.
