Edward Alfred Blondin, 81, of Owensboro, KY, formerly of Evansville, IN, passed away Friday, November 16, 2018 at his home. He was born December 26, 1936 in Evansville to the late Edward John and Martha Elizabeth (Flagler) Blondin.

Edward was a field service representative for Unisys Corporation formerly Burrough's Corporation for 37 years. He was a member of St. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church in Owensboro, KY for 8 years. Earlier in his life Edward was a member of St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Hopkinsville, KY for 47 years, where he was a boy scout leader and a member of the school board and men's club. Edward was an excellent craftsman and loved the outdoors and loved to fish. Edward was a United States Navy Veteran stationed in Key West, FL.

Edward was a loving husband, father, and grandpa, who gave his life in service to our Lord. He was preceded in death by his parents and son, Frank Edward Blondin; siblings, Larry and Richard Blondin and Sharon Blondin Golden. Edward is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jonny Ileene (Doolittle) Blondin; children, Nina Keller of Dover, TN, Ruth Greenfield of Nashville, TN, Maria Bradham of Charleston, SC, John Michael Blondin of Trenton, KY, Robert Blondin Norfolk, VA, Ileene Moore of Springhill, TN, and Phillip Blondin of Owensboro, KY: brothers and sisters, Roger Blondin of Indianapolis, IN, David Blondin of Winslow, IN, Mary Knight of Newburgh, IN, Julie Beery of Evansville, IN, and Caroline Phillips of Evansville, IN; twenty-two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at St. Joseph & Paul Catholic Church, 609 E. 4th. St. Owensboro, KY with Rev. Fr. Az Cuc Basilio officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., Tuesday, November 20, 2018 with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m.. Additional visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to service time on Wednesday at the church. Burial, with military rites, will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Evansville.
