Hattie was born the youngest of six daughters of Carl and Henrietta (Schueler) Sasse in West Prussia. The family immigrated to the US in 1887 landing in New York. They moved to Adams Co., NE.
Hattie married Heinrich (Henry) Bobzien on July 7, 1907 at Zion Lutheran Church in the Wanda Twp. of Adams Co., NE.
She was the mother of Louise, William, Meta, Theresa, Hattie, Alice and Evelyn.
Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, sisters, Clara Jacobitz, Emma Werth, Bertha Lange, Theresa Hohlfeld, and Minna Alves, daughters, Meta in 1962, Theresa Wieck, in 1954, and Hedwig as an infant in 1915.
