Wayne Edwin Scott, a resident of Klamath Falls, passed away on Nov. 13, 2018, at the age of 71.

Wayne was born on Aug. 31, 1947, in Klamath Falls to Edwin and Leila Scott. After high school, he joined the U.S. Army and served from 1965 to 1969. After his discharge, he married Dayle Noble in 1970 at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Langell Valley. The couple lived in Dallas, Ore., until 1989 before returning to Klamath Falls. Wayne obtained a degree in welding from Chemeketa Community College and had a lifelong career in welding, working for Caterpillar, Pape Cat, and his own business, Music Note Welding. He was also an associate professor at Klamath Community College for 11 years prior to his retirement.

In addition to welding, Wayne enjoyed riding horses, cattle ranching, and leather braiding. He especially enjoyed packing his horses and heading out on mountain excursions. He also enjoyed his volunteer work with the Henley Rodeo Team and the 4-H Horse Club.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 48 year, Dayle Scott; sons and daughter-in-law Ed Scott, Tony Scott, Luke and Jessica Scott; daughter Suzi Scott; grandchildren John Scott, Zack Scott, Shawn Scott, Payden Scott, Lilly Scott, Liam Scott, and Colten Scott; and sister Donna Downer. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Kenneth Scott.
