Charlotte Rose, 83, of Essexville, our selfless and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend went home to be with the Lord on the morning of Sunday, November 18, 2018 at her home. Charlotte was born in Bay Port on March 25, 1935, the daughter of the late Norman and Alicia (Pottenger) Ryan. She was a 1955 graduate of Bay City Central and on February 17, 1956, Charlotte was united in marriage to her loving husband, Donald Allan Rose in Ft. Ord, California. A true servant of the Lord, Charlotte was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where she was involved with the Couples Club and Friendship Guild. An excellent collaborator, Charlotte enjoyed volunteering and was Vice-President of the Heritage House Museum, Bay County Quilters Society, was a Girl Scout leader, 4-H Leader, and a leader in many more arenas. Her love of quilting, baking cookies, building ginger bread houses, dichroic glass jewelry, sewing, crafting, oil painting, teaching her talents (especially quilting), fundraising for students at Essexville-Hampton schools, working in Tawas during Historical Days, and her love of Oscoda Lumber Jack Days will always live on. Charlotte leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 62 years, Donald and their children, Cindy Rose Belanger (Richard), Donald Allan Rose, Jr. (Shirley), Jeffrey John Rose; former daughter-in-law, Anne Rose; grandchildren, Matthew Ryan Rose, Steven Allan Rose (Victoria), Anthony Justin Rose, Holly Jo Rose, Kallista Rose; step-grandchildren, Richard Belanger, David Belanger, Matthew Belanger, Scott Vincent, Sarah Penney, Emily Packer, John Vincent; seven great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. Charlotte was greeted home to heaven by her parents; sisters, Virginia Alexander, Betty Ellis, Barbara Quinn; half-sisters, Gladys Darcy, Cynthia Anderson, and her brothers-in-law, Keith Rose (Joyce) and Jerome Rose (Barbara).

Rev. Kevin Jones will officiate with private inurnment to be held in Floral Gardens Cemetery.
