Ralph R. Green, former resident of Winchester, current resident of Muncie, IN, departed to his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Nov. 18, 2018. Born on Aug. 28, 1939 to Joseph B. and Gladys E. (Rees) Green.
When Ralph graduated from Winchester High School in 1958 he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and the Indiana National Guard. He was honorably discharged on Nov. 12, 1964.
He attended Ball State University where he studied accounting and salesmanship. In 1965 he started working as a sales manager for Frank Foundries Corp. of Muncie and Moline IL. When Frank Foundries closed in he started Green's Industrial Sales & Service Co. which he ran for 15 years. He also started Green's Travel Center of Muncie which he operated for nine years before selling it to his employees. Ralph was a caring man with a great sense of hunor.
Ralph was married to Marjorie L. (Evlisizer) Green and was the proud father of three children and two stepchildren, Julie (Butch) Rhonemus, Jennifer Carpenter (Justin) Gross), Anthony Green, Ann Stephenson, and Adam Stephenson (Jennifer). He also had nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Four grandchildren preceded him in death.
A service to celebrate Ralph's life will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Walker Funeral Home in Winchester, IN. Friends and family may call two hours prior to the service.
