Deanna Marie Moore
Deanna Marie (Hoover) Moore, age 76, of Independence, Kansas passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018 at the Montgomery Place in Independence.
Deanna was born on September 19, 1942 in Artesia, California to Emmett LeRoy Hoover and Lucille Elizabeth Barker. Deanna was raised in Independence and graduated from Independence High School.
Deanna lived in Lee’s Summit, Missouri for many years where she worked as a customer service specialist for the Missouri Public Service Department for over 20 years. She moved back to Independence in 2003.
Deanna liked to bowl, make ceramics, and liked to watch movies.
She is survived by one daughter; Debra and husband Randall of Blue Springs, Missouri; her mother, Lucille of Independence, Kansas; two sisters, Dianna of Independence, Kansas and Cathy of Cherryvale, Kansas; 5 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Moore Jr. and her father.
A Memorial Graveside will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence with Chaplain Keith Springer of Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice officiating.
The family has suggested memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association or Montgomery Place and those remembrances can be left In care of the Allen Family Funeral Services (3848 W. Main, Independence, Kansas 67301).
