US Congressman. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1930, was admitted to the bar and was a Pennsylvania State Attorney, 1939 to 1943. In 1943, he was elected as a Republican to the Seventy-eighth Congress and served until resigning to become a member of the Pennsylvania State Senate in 1945. He was elected judge of the Court of Common Pleas of Northumberland County in 1946, and served until his death.
