Herman E. White

PORTVILLE - Herman E. White, formerly of Coon Hollow Road, Portville, most recently a resident of Bradford Ecumenical Home, passed away Sunday (Feb. 25, 2018) at Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born April 1, 1918, in Wilmington, Del., he was the son of Mark and Christine Langworthy White Sr. On Dec. 24, 1941, in Portville, he married Rosemary E. Biehler, who predeceased him on Nov. 11, 2005.

Mr. White was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II.

He worked as a diesel mechanic for many of the car dealerships in the Olean area, retiring from Olean Wholesale in 1981. After retirement, he became an antique dealer.

Surviving is one son, Michael (Nancy Brown) White of Chaumont; one sister, Sandra Krempa of Kittanning, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by one brother, Mark White; and two sisters, Mary Sisson and Charlotte Voorhees.

Burial will be in Mt. View Cemetery, Olean.
