Kenneth Eugene Bond, age 82, passed away on November 18, 2018 after a life filled with love, laughter, and hard work.
Kenneth was born February 20, 1936, in Lawton, Oklahoma, to Raymond Loyd and Mary Samantha (Berger) Bond. An ornery child, Kenneth's love of making others laugh began at an early age. He loved playing with his sisters and brothers. His boisterous personality and sometimes wild-haired ideas often resulted in scolding from school-teachers, but his jovial nature was never diminished. Ever the creative soul, Kenneth's love of story-telling began as a young boy. As he grew, so did his passion for creating, and working with his hands. Kenneth learned the trade of laying carpet at a young age, and spent the rest of his life building, fixing and creating.
In 1956, Kenneth married LaQuita June Priddy, and together they built a life with their four children, Rusty, Roxanne, Regina, and Renee, all of whom he was immensely proud. Kenneth spent the majority of his career in the oil field industry, retiring from Cudd Energy Services as a Safety Coordinator; he also spent time in law enforcement, as a commercial truck driver, and even owned a pizza parlor. His favorite job, however, was his role of Grandfather.
Known to his beloved grandchildren as "Papa," Kenneth's favorite topic of conversation was the activities and lives of his grandkids. With his big arms, Papa would envelope them in a bear hug, smelling of wintergreen tobacco and crisp hair gel. He kept small gifts and candy in the pockets of his overalls (and sometimes, boots) to share with them as they chatted about their lives. The consummate story-teller, Papa loved entertaining his grandchildren. He taught them silly jokes and rhymes (sometimes to the chagrin of his children), showed them how to use pocketknives, and let them help out in his beloved workshop as he tinkered away on his latest projects. Papa could out-cook just about anyone, and he loved teaching his grandkids their way around the kitchen, whether it was cooking up a delicious pot of beans, or making homemade burritos on New Years Eve. Papa was endlessly proud of his grandchildren, and loved them with his whole heart, never letting an opportunity to tell them so go by.
Kenneth never lost his youthful sense of playfulness and endless desire to make others laugh. Ever kind at heart, his was known to welcome friends into his home for a cup of coffee and conversation, or make a new acquaintance while in line at the store. How he enjoyed being with people, hearing and telling funny stories, that usually began with the phrase "Let me tell you something...".
It is said that the true testament to a life well lived is the love that is left behind. Kenneth led a life filled with strength, love, devotion, and compassion, and his legacy will be cherished and carried on by his grandchildren for generations to come.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, LaQuita of the home; a son Rusty Bond of Ada, OK; three daughters, Roxanne Seidel and husband Howard of Kennett Square, PA; Regina Inmon and husband Frank of Hunstville, TX; and Renee Hogue and husband Harvey of Ada, OK; two sisters, Mary Hyden of Broken Arrow, OK; and Sammie Montgomery of Checotah, OK; seven grandchildren, Breanna Figgins, and husband Kirk of Napa, CA; Ariana Seidel of Philadelphia, PA; Cameron Seidel of Hoboken, NJ; Trevor Seidel of Kennett Square, PA; Nathan Inmon of Huntsville, TX; Chaylum Hogue and Ceara Hogue of Ada, OK; a great-grandson, Smith Figgins of Napa, CA; loving cousins, family, and countless friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, two brothers, Loyd Bond and Curtis Bond, and grandson Elliot Seidel.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks you spend time with your loved ones, brew another pot of coffee, and invite your neighbors in for a cup—he would have wanted that.
