Ms. Kimberly Elizabeth Brandon, 49, of Charlotte, died peacefully on Thursday, April 2, 2009 while in the care of the staff at Levine and Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC.

She was born on July 8, 1959 in Winston Salem, NC to the late Burkley and Velna Brandon. Ms. Brandon was a Pre-School Teacher for 26 years. She taught at the Child Acre Day Care for 12 years and then in the Child Development Center at First Presbyterian Church for 14 years where she was a member. She enjoyed shopping, crafts, and loved the beach. Ms. Brandon will be truly missed by all those whose lives she touched including her students, friends and family.

She is survived by her two sisters, Lori Souther (Bob) of Raleigh, NC, Dee Brown (Eddie Johnson) and nephew, Chad Brown, all of Winston Salem, NC, as well as numerous aunts and cousins.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday April 4, 2009 at First Presbyterian Church in Charlotte with the Rev. Katherine Cooke officiating. Interment will be private. The family would like to thank Dr. Steven A. Limentani and his staff for the compassionate care they provided for Ms. Brandon.
