Susan Louise Hayes, age 63, of Fairmont, WV, passed away on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital after a battle with cancer. She was born July 4, 1955 at Fairmont, a daughter of Mary Jean Mayfield Hayes of Curtisville, WV and the late Melvin Bruis Hayes.
In addition to her mother, Susan is survived by her loving daughter April Sue Dodd of Fairmont; seven sisters, Patricia Ornduff of Metz, Darlene Mitchell of Glovers Gap, Alma Burton of Mannington, Beverly Decker of Fairmont, Cynthia Richmond of Mannington, Nancy Milas of Kentucky and Carolyn Hayes of Mannington; one brother, Daniel Hayes of Florida; 8 nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.
In her free time, Susan enjoyed being outside. She loves spending time with her daughter. She loved being around and taking care of her two horses. She enjoyed spending time with her three best friends in the world, Angie Pitman, Seth Manley and C.W. Lee. She was employed with “Lawn Barber” in Fairmont.
Family and friends may call on Sunday, November 18, 2018 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm with J.J. Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Whetstone Cemetery.
