Fred Schmid Jr.
SEBRING — Fred E. Schmid Jr., age 81, of Sebring, passed away at 7:20 p.m. on Friday, May 18, 2007, at Aultman Hospital.
He was born in Alliance, Ohio, on Feb. 6, 1926, to Fred and Hilda (Trummer) Schmid.
Fred was employed as a truck driver for, McKenon and Robins, and worked for the St. Joseph Cemetery for 45 years.
He was a member of the Sebring VFW and American Legion, Salem Eagles and the Heritage Club in Salem.
He is survived by his son, David (Debbie) Schmid of Sebring; two daughters, Darlene (Robert) Shaw of Canton and Christine Carlisle of Alliance; seven grandchildren, David and Jason Schmid, Jennifer Hoff, Justen Shaw, Renee, Tommy Duchon, Chad Carlisle; 10 great-grandchildren and his former wife, Eleanor Kutchen of Canton.
Fred was preceded by his parents and great-granddaughter.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home with the Rev. Mike Kimball officiating.
Friends may call two hours prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Arrangements are by Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home, Sebring, Ohio.
