Anna Elizabeth Hawkins, 76, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Clester Hawkins; son, Jack Melvin; sister, Illyana Jean Cox. Survivors include her son, Robert (Samantha Reid) Hawkins; daughters, Anna (Wendell) Ashberry and Carmen Coburn; nephews, Thomas Cook and Jermaine Cox; and a host of other nieces and nephews.
She will lie-in-state Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at New Horizon Baptist Church.
The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. with Dr. Willie Paul as the eulogist. Burial in Shepherd Community Cemetery at a later date.
