CLARKSBURG, Pa. — Rose M. (Rogers) Forrest, 60, of Clarksburg, Pa., owner and CEO of M&B Medical Billing Inc., died at home Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, following a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was lovingly surrounded by her husband, daughter and her two grandchildren.

She was born Feb. 1, 1947, in Westerly to the late William E. and Alice E. (Coulter) Rogers. She attended Ansted Elementary School and graduated from Collinwood High School, Cleveland, Ohio, in 1965, majoring in business. On March 6, 1965, she was united in marriage to Farrell Enic Forrest Jr., and on Dec. 14, 1966, they celebrated the birth of their only child, Sandra Alice.

In 1973, Mrs. Forrest was trained and certified as a nurse aide at Jackson General Hospital in Ripley, later using her knowledge in the medical field as a volunteer with the American Red Cross. She furthered her education in the medical fields in 1978, completing a medical secretary course at Gallia-Jackson-Vinton Joint Vocation School in Jackson, Ohio. She subsequently attended Marshall University in Huntington, studying marketing.

Mrs. Forrest utilized her medical training in 2004 to form her company, M&B Medical Billing Inc., naming it after her two grandchildren, Mariah and Brad. She was a member of the American Medical Billing Association, Electronic Medical Billing Network of America Inc., and the National Registry of Medical Billers. The company is a Medicare-approved billing center in multiple states. She was a successful businesswoman with clients nationwide.

Rose is survived by her husband, Farrell; her daughter, Sandra Forrest-Casey; two grandchildren, Bradley Forrest Casey and Mariah Rose Casey, all of Clarksburg; two sisters, Lovie Ann Hammaker of South Carolina and Betty Bellamy of Mentor, Ohio; and a brother, Jack Rogers of Mentor. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Edward “Bunk” Rogers, Rudolph “Rudy” Rogers and Joe Rogers; and two sisters, Zenia Beck and Virginia Calhoun.
