Norman O. Griffin went to Heaven on Wednesday November 14th. He was born in Marianna, Florida to Bowen and Laura Hall on February 23, 1926. He graduated from Marianna High school and was a member of the football team. He joined the Navy and served in WWII in the pacific theater on the USS Knudson. When the Korean War started he rejoined the navy. He married Mildred Rollo, niece of LD and Leona Lewis. He served as Vice President of Sunshine Grocery Co until he retired. He was a member of the Panama City Kiwanis Club and a member of the Forest Park United Methodist Church. After his first wife Mildred Rollo Griffin’s death in 1967 he married Rubye Myers in 1970. He is survived by his sister, Bobbie Westbrook of Jackson, MS, his 3 daughters Pam Fix (Jim) of Panama City, Nancy Williams (Alan) of Milton and Carol Lee of Panama City. He has 5 grandsons James Fix, Joel Fix, Jason Dunn, Brandon Dunn and Aaron Lee. He has 12 Great Grand children and nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 19, 2018 at 1 p.m. in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John Friedman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 12 noon to 1 p.m. prior to the service. Entombment will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens with military honors conducted at the graveside. Honorary pallbearers will be from the local VFW.
