Mr. Ronald Darrell Robbins, after 63 seasons of life, passed from this life on Monday, September 24, 2018.

On November 10, 1954, a precious baby boy was born to Herman and Flossie Robbins in Tulsa, OK. They named him Ronald Derrell Robbins and he was the third child of seven children born to this union.

Ronald knew and believed in Jesus Christ and knew Him as his personal Savior. He was baptized at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.

Ronald grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and attended Tulsa Public Schools, graduating from Tulsa Central High School in 1972. He continued his education at Central State University in Edmond, Oklahoma where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting. While at Central State, Ronald pledged and became a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. and while on line the brothers nicknamed him “Dancing Bear” or “Bear” cause he loved to dance.

During his time at Central State, he met Naomi Wright and a beautiful and lengthy relationship ensued, which also included Naomi’s young son, Gerald “Jay”. After graduating from Central State, he and Naomi married on March 31, 1988. From this union two sons were born, Jason S. and Elliott J. The family made their new home in Midwest City, Oklahoma where Ronald began he career with General Motors.

After several years, the marriage between Ronald and Naomi was dissolved; however, they continued a loving and respectful friendship. Ronald remained actively involved with his children and he proudly celebrated their achievements and accomplishments.

On August 1, 2009, after 25 years of faithful service, Ronald retired from General Motor’s. Since retirement, Ronald pursued many hobbies but he was most passionate about playing the stock market and collecting. Ronald adored his two grandchildren, Jason J. and Amar. He enjoyed sharing stories about the funny things they would do.

On September 24, 2018 at the age of 63, Ronald Derrell Robbins fought the good fight, kept the faith and finished his course surrendering his soul to Jesus. He was preceded in death by his father, Herman C. Robbins Sr. and his mother, Flossie N. Robbins.

The Hour of Remembrance for Brother Robbins will commence on Friday morning, November 16, 2018 at 11AM in the most Holy sanctuary of the First Baptist Church of North Tulsa.
