James Rolland Agnew entered into rest Monday, Dec. 14, 2020.

Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 21, 2020 at White’s Chapel of Memories, 130 Houston Ave., Weatherford.

Graveside: 2 p.m. Monday at Moran Cemetery.

Visitation: 4-6 p.m. Sunday at White’s Chapel of Memories, Weatherford.

James was born on July 14, 1938 in Moran to Vida Lee Thames Agnew and Alfred Lee Agnew. He married Glenda Jean Agnew on June 6, 1959 and was employed by Enserch for 40 years. He was a Master Mason and a member of the Grand Lodge of Texas #863 in Moran.

James founded Agnew Boers in 2000. He raised and showed national winning Boer goats for 18 years during which he made countless lifelong friends.

James is preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Jean Agnew; father, Alfred Lee Agnew; and mother, Vida Lee Thames Agnew.

He is survived by his children, Randy Agnew, and Leanne Anderson and her husband, Kendall; his friend and companion, Brenda Larner; grandchildren, Landon Wisely, and Marshall Agnew, Kelsey Laughmiller and her husband, Micah, Kent Anderson and his wife, Calla, Laney Duncan and her husband, Josh, Ethan Anderson, Exavier Anderson; great-grandchildren, Amos Laughmiller, Eden Laughmiller, Eli Laughmiller and Abigail Laughmiller; and many, many friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sending any memorial contributions to the North Texas Food Bank, which is helping distribute food assistance to families in need during the pandemic.
