He was preceded in death by his dad, Ralph Black and brother, Alan Black.
Steve loved his family and friends and will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Mary Macia Black of Dalton; mom, Betty Jean Stevenson Black of Dalton; three children, Sean Black, Robert Black and wife Misty and Stephanie Clinger and husband Jonathan all of Dalton; grandchildren, Victoria Black, Sterling Black, Alexandria Black, Weston Black, Isabel Clinger, and Jonathan “Jay” Clinger; sister and brother-in-law, Anne Black Pitts and Walter of Calhoun; sister-in-law, Monica Black of Dalton; numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 4 pm on Wednesday in the chapel of Love Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Turley officiating.
The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday from 2 until 4.
Steve will be laid to rest at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton at a later date.
