Having been baptized at any early age, he chose to rededicate his life to the Lord and was baptized again. He was currently a member of Cornerstone Church of Christ.
Tommy Dale retired as a machinist from Reynolds Alloys after 34 years, working another three years with Wise Alloys. He was a charter member of the Muscle Shoals Area Street Rod Club. He was very talented at building old cars. He was an only child, but was a very selfless person. He was always willing to help his friends or anyone in need whether he knew them or not. He loved his family dearly. They were his world. He loved spending time with his grandchildren every chance he had. He also enjoyed his breakfast friends at Cousin’s Convenience Store.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Thomas Brewer and Gladys Fell Brewer. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Phyllis Helton Brewer; son, Ricky Dale Brewer; daughters, Amy Brewer and Rebecca Carson (Bruce); grandchildren, Bailey Brewer Powell (Daniel), Logan Erwin, Kennedy Erwin, Jordan Carson, Brady Carson, and his little buddy, Chase Carson; great-grandsons, Judah and Ezra Powell.
Honorary pallbearers will be Terry Kennamore (his lifelong friend), Terry Helton (brother-in-law), Harry McGee, Skip Hogue, Willie Fleming and fellow members of the Muscle Shoals Area Street Rods.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Jeremy Hon and his staff at Clearview Cancer Center Huntsville, Alabama; special nurses, Kay, Michelle, and Leah at the Stem Cell Clinic, and the Oncology staff at Huntsville Hospital.
